For those who were able to make it across to the U.S.A. for camp sunshine this year would have experienced an amazing time with the many FAmilies that attended.  My son and I have just returned from the States (Friday 16th) after an amazing week at camp, followed by a whirlwind holiday around the U.S.

We will definitely be attending next year again, and I encourage everyone to consider the same.  Of course it is an expensive exercise but well worth the effort if at all possible.  Remember that the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund (FARF) offer a travel scholarship to families, particularly first-timers or those facing significant medical decisions.

We here at Fanconi Anaemia Australia will also be working on some grant applications ready for next year to hopefully support those that wish to attend financially.  I cant promise anything, but will keep you posted on progress.

Be sure to let me know if you would be interested in this.

Take care, and keep well!

    Hi Alan.
Glad to hear you and Isaac had a great time in the States. We were keeping updated on your adventures through FB!
Were there any medical updates that you can share?
    Thanks!

    Hi Brooke,
I made a decision when I got to camp that this year would not be about the medical info, but more a personal journey for me with the other families… Therefore, I cant really share anything specific as I was not in the meetings that often.

There are some new stats on FA in Australia which I will get sent to me and forward on.

    See you guys soon!
    Alan
